World Teachers’ Day will be celebrated across Australia on Friday 30 October 2026, providing a wonderful opportunity to recognise and thank the teachers who inspire, support and empower our children and young people every day.
This year’s national campaign, Shine a light on teachers, celebrates the many ways teachers make a difference, from creating those important “lightbulb moments” to helping young people discover their gifts and find their way.
Schools are encouraged to join the celebration and find meaningful ways to recognise their teachers. Explore the resources and start planning: World Teachers’ Day 2026
Together, let’s shine a light on our teachers and celebrate the extraordinary contribution they make to our school communities.
