The process of establishing a Diocesan Pastoral Council (DPC) for the Diocese of Ballarat has commenced, following the Diocesan Assembly insights and the wider synodal journey of the Church. As we continue the work of pastoral renewal and synodal engagement across the Diocese, the DPC will play a key role in advising the Bishop and supporting the discernment of the Diocese's pastoral priorities and future direction. Key documents relating to the DPC can be found on the diocesan website.
A formation program will be held in the Diocese in 2027, which will also support the development of the DPC and its members to deepen a shared understanding of synodality, discernment and mission. All members of the diocese are encouraged to participate in these sessions as a valuable opportunity for personal and pastoral formation.
