State funding to expand kindergarten access

DOBCEL welcomed the Victorian Government’s commitment of up to $5.47 million through its Building Blocks Partnership, announced yesterday. The investment will support a new three-room modular kindergarten at St Mary’s Primary School in Swan Hill, along with important infrastructure planning at St Brendan’s Primary School in Coragulac and St Patrick’s Primary School in Koroit. Together, these initiatives will support up to 178 kindergarten places.

We thank Minister for Children Lizzie Blandthorn and the Department of Education for working with DOBCEL to strengthen access to high-quality early childhood education. By planning carefully for future demand and creating contemporary, welcoming learning environments, we can provide more children and families with the strong foundations they need for the future.
