National Science Week – share your school’s celebrations

Dear Secondary Learning Leaders,

National Science Week is kicking off on Saturday, 15 August and runs until Sunday, 23 August.

If your school is planning activities to celebrate, it would be wonderful to showcase these across our Diocese. Please send photographs and a short blurb for inclusion in the DOBCEL newsletter to comms@dobcel.catholic.edu.au.

If your school is looking for ideas and resources, please visit:

Australians Together has also developed free, Australian Curriculum-aligned resources for Foundation to Year 10 to support the inclusion of First Nations perspectives. These include ready-to-use lesson plans and activities linked to this year’s theme, Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all.

Please feel free to forward this information to your Science Learning Area Leader and teaching teams.

Happy Science Week!!

Kind regards,
Ingrid May
Education Officer: Secondary (DOBCEL)
