Save the Date: International Eucharistic Congress 2028
The dates for the 54th International Eucharistic Congress (Eucharist28) have been confirmed, with the historic gathering set to take place in Sydney from September 24 to October 1, 2028.
As a celebration for the whole Church in Australia, Eucharist28 will provide Catholic school communities with a unique opportunity to journey together in faith, prayer and renewal. In the lead-up to the congress, schools, students and families will be invited to participate in formation, catechesis, liturgy, prayer and pilgrimage activities designed to deepen understanding of the Eucharist and strengthen our relationship with Christ.
Further information and resources will be shared as preparations continue. We invite our school communities to keep Eucharist28 in their prayers and begin considering how they may participate in this significant moment for the Australian Church.
