The paper explores how trust-based collaboration can support human flourishing across our schools and aligns closely with DOBCEL's commitment to fullness of life for all.
Recently shared with Principals, the paper highlights two key dimensions of collaboration: collaborative professionalism among educators and co-operative learning among students. Drawing on research, our system survey results and practice, it emphasises that collaboration is not an additional program or initiative, but a core way of working that strengthens teaching, learning, wellbeing and shared responsibility across our system.
The resource provides practical insights into building collaborative cultures, including the importance of trust, purposeful professional dialogue, collaboration focused on learning, and creating classroom environments where students learn with and from one another. It also includes reflections on the current state of collaboration across DOBCEL and practical steps schools and teams can adapt within their own contexts.
