Catholic Education Week 2026 is a time to celebrate the vibrant, life-giving communities that make Catholic education across our Diocese so special.
It is an opportunity to reflect on what it means to be part of a Catholic learning community – where faith, learning, and care for one another are deeply connected. Across our schools and Catholic Education Ballarat, this week highlights the shared mission of nurturing the whole person: spiritually, academically, and socially.
At the heart of Catholic Education Week is a spirit of gratitude and recognition. It’s a time to acknowledge the dedication of staff, the engagement of students, the support of families, and the strength of community that underpins everything we do.
A key feature of the week is the Bishop Paul Bird Spirit of Catholic Education Awards. These awards honour the legacy of Bishop Paul and recognise individuals and teams who embody the values of Catholic education through their service, leadership, and commitment to others.
From classrooms to offices, these award recipients reflect the many ways Catholic education comes to life – through compassion, innovation, and a deep sense of purpose.
As we celebrate Catholic Education Week, we invite our whole community – students, families, staff, and parish members – to join in recognising and celebrating the people who make a difference each day.
Together, we continue to build communities where every person is known, supported, and inspired to grow.
