St Thomas More Catholic Primary School is a Foundation to Year 6 co-educational Catholic school within the Cathedral Parish of the Diocese of Ballarat. Located in Alfredton, in Ballarat’s growing western corridor, our school serves families from the local community and surrounding rural areas. Our school community comprises approximately 430 students.

Guided by Gospel values, we provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child is known, valued, and supported to thrive. We are committed to nurturing the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of each student, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and confidence to succeed both at school and beyond.

At the heart of our school is a strong sense of community. We value the partnerships between students, families, staff, and the wider parish, recognising that these relationships play a vital role in supporting student learning and wellbeing. Together, we foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and belonging.

Our teaching and learning philosophy is grounded in the belief that every student can achieve success when provided with high-quality instruction, appropriate support, and meaningful opportunities to learn. Through evidence-informed practice and a commitment to continuous improvement, we strive to maximise outcomes for every learner.

At St Thomas More, we are proud to be a faith-filled learning community where students are inspired to Live, Learn and Thrive.
